Media Center: B Pre-K
POLICIES:
Pre-K students may visit the media center for storytime and book check out. Each student selects one book, which is kept in the classroom for all students to enjoy. Library books do not go home with the students.
Many teachers invite parent and community volunteers, as well as other campus staff members, to read to their classes for storytime. If you would like to read aloud to the students, contact your child's teacher.
READING SUGGESTIONS:
One of the most important things you can do to help your children succeed in school is to read to them every day. Here is a list of books that they will enjoy, but you can read anything age-appropriate to them: advertisements, cereal boxes, billboards, magazines, newspapers, even video game instructions! Let your child see the words you are reading, and talk about what they mean - what's happening in the story, what the ad is trying to sell and why, what the instructions say to do, etc.
